After installing the plugin, you need to enable it to work correctly.

Button Label : Add To Cart
Any label you want to be displayed on your add to cart button.

Button Width : 100
The width of the Add to Cart button in pixels (px)

Quantity Field : Visible
Hide or show the quantity field. If the quantity field is hidden, the quantity is always "1".

Adding the necessary code to the content pages
***************************************************
You need to enter the following code, to a Joomla content page for an Add to Cart button :

{ixxoaddbutton,id=item_id}

where item_id would be the product item's id in the database and NOT the "Product ID".

Examples :

{ixxoaddbutton,id=5}

Shows an "Add to Cart" Button for the product with the id 5.

{ixxoaddbutton,id=156}

Shows an "Add to Cart" Button for the product with the id 156.

Obtaining the item IDs for the products
***************************************************
In {ixxoaddbutton,id=item_id} the product's "id" in the database is used. This "id" is NOT identical with the "Product ID" you can set for any product manually. You can obtain the "id" by directly by looking into the database or by looking at the URLs for the products at the storefront

eg.: index.php?option=com_ixxocart&Itemid=2&p=product&id=8&parent=1

The product's "id" would be 8 in this example : "id=8".

eg.: index.php?option=com_ixxocart&Itemid=2&p=product&id=125&parent=1

The product's "id" would be 8 in this example : "id=125".

]]> <![CDATA[CSV for Bulk Upload]]> Shown below is an example of the most commonly used attributes for bulk uploading:





Category Key:  Insert the key, not the name, of the category you want this product to belong to.  If you want to have multiple categories for this product, separate the keys with a double |  which is located above the enter key on most keyboards.

Product Name:  Name of the product.

Product ID:  Unique ID given for the product.

Price:  What you want the price to be.  Note that you do not want to use currency symbols like the $ sign as it will not work.

Manufacturer ID:  If you have setup manufacturers, you can specify what products belong to them using this option.

Unit Weight:  Here you specify the weight of your products.

Is Taxable: Specifies if the item is to be taxed.

Description:  Here you enter your full product description.  HTML is allowed in this field.

Overview:  Here you specify your product overview, which is a quick snippet about the product usually.  HTML is not accepted here.

Attribute Options (1-3):  Here you can setup a product attribute.  The format is as follows - option1(+/- price, +/- weight) or (+/- % of price, +/- % of weight).  All options must be separated by a double || .

Attribute Name (1-3):  Here you give your options a reference name.

Attribute Caption (1-3):  Name of the option that gets displayed on the website.

]]> <![CDATA[How do I add an "add to cart" button to a Joomla module?]]> In Joomla, "mod_custom" modules are exempt from processing plugins.
If you don't want to hassle changing Joomla core files (which we do not recommend) or installing additional software, you could just add a HTML form manually to your mod_custom pages.

You just need to change the value in the line where the "oa_id" is defined to the id number of the desired product to add a different product into your cart. (In the attached example we used the oa_id "10")
A basic html form is needed to achieve add the add to cart plugin to a module.

The first tab will be called "Description" and will have the content that you have already typed when you created the product. If you want to change the tab header to another name then you have to edit it and call it what ever you like. Tabs are multilingual and you can create different tabs for each language that you already enabled.

Tabs are supported in IXXO Cart Plus version.]]> <![CDATA[How do I Import products into multiple categories through the Bul...]]> To add products to multiple categories thorough the bulk loader, you must separate them by a specific syntax.

In your CSV file, alter the data for column 'category key' in your rows as described below.

Use two pipes, ie: || to separate category keys.

Example: Clothes || Shirts || T-Shirts

Please be sure to include a space before and after the double pipes characters.

You can define the number of items per case in this field.
The general usage for this feature would be like this:
e.g.: You have a product that you sell for $1. If you set the items per case to 5, then the product can only be purchased in packs of 5, for a total of $5. The customer will see that your product costs $5, and that there are 5 products in the package. They will not see that the products cost $1 each (although they could calculate it manually)

The unit price is thus $5, which is NOT identical to your product price (since that value is $1.)

 Inter Pack
You can define the number of items per Inter Pack in this field.
The general usage for this feature would be like this:
e.g.: You have a product which sells for $1 per package. If you set the items per inter pack to 100, your customer will see that this product costs $1, and contains 100 items.

The unit price is thus $1, which is identical to your product price.

STEP 1: Activate Subscribed Products
STEP 2. In product edit or when you create a new product, there will be a new option "Normal" and "Subscribed".
STEP 3. Select the option "Subscribed" and click on the green icon on the right.
STEP 4. Add pricing. If the product is a tangible (eg medicine) and not a digital (media) product there is no need to use the file upload and expiration dates. If its a media product you will need to upload the files and set up the expiration dates for accessing or downloading the files.
STEP 5. Save the product.
STEP 6. View the product at the front-end and you will notice the pricing options.

How to setup a product query for the product finder at the storefront by using custom product properties and the query builder:

OVERVIEW

Custom product properties are additional fields for your products. The cart supports multiple product property categories, so you can set a product to only have the additional fields it needs.
The "property query builder" enables you to easily setup queries for your products using these product properties.

STEP 1 - Create a product property category

Go to "Categories & Products" => "Custom Product Properties"

Create a new product property category by clicking on "Add a New Custom Product Property Category"

e.g.: If you sell remotes and want to add additional fields for your remotes you would enter "remotes" at "New Custom

Product Property Category Name".

Click "save changes" after you entered your category name.

Click on "back" to go back to the main product property management.

STEP 2 - Creating additional product property fields

Chose the "Custom Product Property Category" you want to enter fields for (if it's not already selected).

Enter a new product property field at "Add a new Custom Product Property field".

Press "save changes" after you entered the field name.

Enter the next field name, if you want to setup more fields and repeat STEP2.

STEP 3 - Add the custom property category to your product

Choose a already entered product at "Categories & Products" => "Manage Products" or create a new product.

At "Custom Product Property Category" at the bottom of the product details page, you should now see your previously entered.

product property categories in a select box. Choose the correct product property category for your product there and press "save changes".

If you edited a previously entered product, click on "Back to Product Editing" now and then click on Edit Product's "Metalanguage Descriptions and Properties" at the top of the page.

Click on "edit description" for the language of your choice.

You should now see the product property fields of the previously selected product property category.

Enter the values for your fields and press "update".

Redo STEP 3 for all other products that should have product properties assigned to them.

STEP 4 - Create a product property query

Go to "Categories & Products" => "Property Query Builder".

Click on "Create a New Product Property Query" or select a previously created "product property query".

Enter a property query title.

Select the "Property Query Category" you want to create a query for.

Add the the items from the "Available Items" list you want to add to your query to the "Selected Items" list.

Press "save changes".

STEP 5 - Storefront operation

To call your product property query use this URL:

http://yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_ixxocart&p=catalog&mode=query

You will see a list with all available queries.

You can use this URL in your Joomla menu to call a list with all available product queries.

After chosing a query you will see select boxes for all your query fields, populated with the values from your product's property fields.

After selecting the first value, the second select box will be populated with all product property field values that match to the previously selected field value of the first select box.

Every forthcoming select box will need to match all the previously conditions (selected values) and will only be populated with the matching values.

After selecting the first value in the first select box the matching products will be shown below. Selecting the next field values in the select boxes will narrow down the list of products as less products will match to your query.

You can also directly call a product query page by using the query id in the URL, therefore enabling you to bypass the query selection page.

e.g.: http://yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_ixxocart&p=catalog&mode=query&qid=1

will call the query with the ID 1.

You can either see the query ids in the admin area at the "Property Query Builder" management page or - after selecting a specific query at the storefront - in your browser's url entry field.

STEP 6 - General usage after the initial setup

After setting up your product property categories, fields and the query itself, you only need to modify the fields or the query itself, if you change anything in the property category or the fields itself (e.g. add new fields, etc.).

Therefore - on a daily basis as you add more products - you only need to enter the property category and populate the fields for newly created products (STEP 4) each time.

2. Allow the payment gateway to handle the recurring payments. Currently we have integrated payflow and authorizenet to handle all future invoices. The user will be charged when the invoice is due.  ]]> <![CDATA[What is the difference between Express and Traditional checkout?]]> Express checkout allows your customers to checkout as fast as possible. The cart simply collects the billing, shipping (if necessary) and payment information needed to complete the transaction.

Unlike the Traditional checkout, Express checkout does not create an account for your customer, so they will not be able to check order status on the site. Use traditional checkout to create a customer account.

Currently supported methods:

a. First you will need to specify a product as digital product. Customer purchases the digital product and if payment is confirmed he will receive an email with the download link. The digital download can be downloaded 1 or more times depending on your settings. The download link is md5 hash and the customer will not be able to guess the location of the file.

b. You can specify a product as a subscribed product. User purchases the digital product and after successful payment he WILL NOT RECEIVE an email with the download link but just the invoice. To get the product he will need to login to his account and click on "My Subscriptions". By doing so he will be able to see all his subscribed products and download them or view them on line. With this feature you can specify if a product is just downloadable or viewable. Furthermore you can restrict how many times he can download it or restrict the period he has access to the file.

The option b is only available with the IXXO Cart PLUS version.]]> <![CDATA[When I bulk load my products, I'm getting an error with the "Pric...]]> The bulkloader does not accept the "$". You will need to remove that symbol to bulkload prices into the cart. Also, avoid any special characters in the beginning of image file names.
