1. If the vendor services feature is enabled vendors will be able to purchase an option to have a product(s) as featured and will be dynamically be displayed on the front page of the marketplace.

2. If enabled vendors will be able to purchase an option to be a featured vendor and their logo with products will be dynamically be displayed on the front page of the marketplace.

Vendors can purchase

a) Featured product by editing a product and

b) featured vendor through their profile

You specify the period and cost through the settings /admin.php?p=user_services
Ordered services can be viewed through /admin.php?p=vendor_services_orders

]]> <![CDATA[Stripe Payments]]> Stripe Connect is integrated via "Standard Account Onboarding". Vendors are able to connect existing accounts to the mall's Stripe Connect account through Stripe or are prompted to create an account at Stripe, if they don't have an account yet.

Payments are only transfered to vendors, after the paid amount becomes available for the mall.

ACH payments are integrated via Stripe.js with delayed-verification using microdeposits.

By default, Stripe automatically creates payouts of your available account balance based on the schedule specified in the Dashboard. The schedule used is dependent on your country and whether your business operates in a higher-risk industry.

If you would prefer to receive payouts on a fixed schedule, you can choose to have them sent either weekly or monthly in your account’s payout settings.

]]> <![CDATA[Which payment options are available with the Multi-Vendor edition...]]> With the Multi-Vendor there are three options to set up payments.

1. Super admin receives the money for all sales and manually pays the vendors minus his commission eg. weekly or at the end of the month. If this option is selected you can use any payment gateway.

2. Vendors receive money for their sales. If this option is used all vendors need to use the same payment gateway which is PayPal website payments. At the end of the month or week, you will invoice the vendors with your commission and ask them to send you the money to your bank account.

For 1 & 2 there is a report you could run to see how much you owe to vendors (1) or vendors owe you (2).

3. Paypal Adaptive, PayPal for Marketplaces, Stripe, Link4Pay.
The store owner requires PayPal adaptive account and vendors a normal PayPal account. If PayPal adaptive is used everybody gets paid when the user pays for the order. Vendors will receive the money, minus your commission, to their PayPal account and super admin will receive the commission to his PayPal account which was deducted from vendors. This way everybody gets paid with one transaction and there is nothing to follow up.

Any issues involving the installation of this software are always tied to server settings or the server does not meet the requirements listed below. Many hosting companies continue to restrict accounts in an effort to reduce customer service. It is highly recommended you check your server settings prior to attempting an installation. Our technical department is willing to assist on any installation questions you may have, but we do charge 30.00 USD /hour for issues that are not associated with the software and are deemed to be server-setting issues. If you are not sure if your server supports the below requirements, take the time to send in a request to your hosting company to verify prior to installation.Required

PHP 5.x or higher
MySQL 3.2 and above

Joomla 1.5x & 1.7x Installation:
First you will need to unzip the ZIP folder that contains the IXXO Multi-Vendor for Joomla 1.5-1.7  Package.
Folders included in zip:

installer
modules
upload
upload-2

Before installing the com_ixxocart.zip component, make sure that the tmp folder in your joomla root directory, has attributes set to 777 or 755 depending on your server. If not change to either 777 or 755.
Also check if your server's safe_mode is turned off. If its on you should change to off. This is required for some server environments.
The installer folder contains the IXXO Cart Multi-Vendor Component for Joomla 1.5 - 1.7, that needs to be installed first.

   1.  Login to your Joomla installation
   2.  Click on the extensions tab and click on the "install/uninstall" link
   3.  In the new window click on the browse button and choose the com_ixxocart_353.zip and press ok.
   4.  Click on Upload File & Install button
   5.  If you did everything right you will get a message "Upload Component - Success"
   6.  Select from the "Components" drop down Menu the "IXXO Cart" link
   DONT CHANGE THE SCREEN UNTIL YOU UPLOAD the 2 ZIP FILES included in the "upload" folder, TO THE SERVER 
   7.  Now you will need to manually upload the the 2 zip files with your ftp client.
   8. Upload the 2 zip filess to: /administrator/components/com_ixxocart/

   9.  Set the following folder attributes to 777 or 755
      "com_ixxocart" in administrator/components
      "com_ixxocart" in components/

10. GO back to your browser and click on "click here" to continue the installation

11.  A step-by-step procedure will guide you through the rest of the installation

12. After the cart has been installed, Change the attributes of the "compiled" folder in /components/com_ixxocart/content/ to 777 or 755.

13. Now you will need to manually upload the five files included in the "upload-2" folder to your joomla installation root directory.

After successful installation you will need to install the modules found in the "modules" folder like you do with any other joomla module.

According to your template module positions you will have to choose the right position  for each module to be displayed.

It's not necessary to publish all of them if not required.

Vendor Specific modules that can be used:

1. Vendor Information (mod_ixxocart.vendor_info)

To display a certain module on vendor specific pages you need to edit the default Joomla
template.
 
1. Open your template’s “templateDetails.xml” file which is located in the root
folder of your default template.

Search for the <positions> line and create a new position and give the name
vendor_module_position.

Code to be inserted:
<position>vendor_module_position</position>

Save the file.
 
2. Open the index.php file of the default template. The file is located in the root
folder of your template.
The example is to show the module to the right position of your template.
Search for the line with, assuming you are using a Yootheme Template

How to setup order journals only vendor account

and
admin.php?p=vendor_group

You can now define vendor groups without any of the default "Vendor Privileges" but with only the "Order Journals" as "Additional Vendor Privileges" which enables you to create a vendor order only account.

Please note: You can leave the number of products at 0, it will be counted as 0 and not as unlimited in this case.


You can also create vendors through the admin area, that don't have any permissions set, except for the special order journals permission.


When signing up through the vendor signup page. If the order journals group was created correctly, this group will be listed without any product references at the signup vendor page:

index.php?p=signup_vendor

The whole permission system was redesigned for the vendor frontend to allow restricting the vendor access to specific pages and also allow specific pages. Since the vendor frontend-only used to have a few selected pages, the permission system was only designed to take care of certain settings and was much more permissive, if wrong settings were set.

If you login to an order journals accounts at the frontend, you will see, that the list of available pages is shrunk down to a few pages. namely the vendor resources area, the ticket system and the contact management page and of course the order journals page.

All other pages can't be accessed by the order journals account.
